Vice-Premier Liu Yandong will attend the opening ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Aug 5 in Brazil as President Xi Jinping’s special representative.
Liu will stay in Brazil from Aug 3 to 6, before paying an official visit to Mexico from Aug 6 to 10, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang announced on July 29.
