BEIJING — China’s top legislature on July 2 appointed Chen Baosheng as minister of education, replacing Yuan Guiren.

The decision was adopted at the closing meeting of the bi-monthly session of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, which runs from June 27 to July 2.

Chen was Party chief of Chinese Academy of Governance before replacing Yuan.
