Premier Li Keqiang met with Laotian Prime Minister Thongsing, who is in China for the first Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Leaders’ Meeting and the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016, in Sanya, South China’s Hainan province, on March 23.

Premier Li said at the meeting that China is willing to expand cooperation with Laos in all fields, and achieve more cooperation with the country in major projects such as the Sino-Laos railways, water conservation and electricity projects.

The Premier also said he hopes Laos will actively participate in the Lancang-Mekong cooperation mechanism, and work together with China to bring about more fruitful cooperation.
