Premier Li Keqiang has called for more efforts to be made to protect the ancient city wall of Kaifeng, the symbolic root of culture and history, after visiting the historic relic in Kaifeng, Henan province, on May 8, 2017.

The 14.4 km-long wall, built during the Tang Dynasty, is the second largest barrier which still stands. However, after several years’ renovation, the historic relic has since been turned into a green park.

During the Premier’s visit, he also walked into several cultural and creative stores, and talked with citizens.
