The State Council decided to reshuffle the organizing committee and executive committee for the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition, according to a circular released on July 26.

After the restructuring, Vice-Premier Hu Chunhua will become chairman of the organizing committee, and Cai Qi, Beijing’s Party secretary, will be the first vice-chairman of the committee. The organizing committee will have six vice-chairmen and 37 committee members, all senior officials from different ministries and commissions.

The executive committee is headed by Cai Qi. Chen Jining, mayor of Beijing, and other six senior officials were appointed executive directors. And Beijing’s Executive Deputy Mayor Zhang Gong was designated to be executive deputy director of the committee.
