The station is a major hub of China-Europe freight trains, Beijing-Shanghai Railway, and Jinan-Qingdao Railway, and has been undergoing modification over the past few days. The project will usher in concrete sleepers and the latest model of steel rails. Once completed, efficiency will rise by 30 minutes, which will considerably boost the transport capacity of China-Europe freight trains, Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Jinan-Qingdao Railway.
